Omam Dawn, Amy Dawn, songwriter and musician, has been performing and writing for the past seven years. Her songs have journeyed from personal hurdles of heartbreak and adventuring from harbourside hometown, to more experimental themes, rooted in traditional folk, of tea drinking dogs that fly you to the moon. Her debut album, ‘Near From Goose Town’, was praised as a ‘deeply moving evocative showcase’ (Hard of Hearing magazine) and her singles, Purple Flowers and Mystery Unkind, were aired on BBC Introducing and La Vie est Folk. This year, Omam Dawn is releasing a surreal-folk mini album, Lions Do Swim, and is in the process of recording new material on tape which features field recordings of Moroccan donkeys and birds.
